BIOGRAPHIE

Le professeur Xavier Cavard détient un doctorat en sciences de l'environnement qu'il a obtenu à l'UQAT en 2011. Avant d'obtenir son poste de professeur, il a réalisé, au cours des dernières années, des stages postdoctoraux à l'Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), à l'UQAT ainsi qu'à l'Université suédoise des sciences agricoles (SLU). Dans le cadre de ses fonctions, M. Cavard participe au développement d'un pôle de recherche universitaire sur la Côte-Nord, Il est titulaire de la Chaire de recherche UQAT-MFFP sur la gestion du carbone forestier . Ce pôle vise à renforcir le partenariat avec les industries émettrices de gaz à effets de serre et à développer un modèle d'affaire intégrant la séquestration du carbone.
