THÈMES DE RECHERCHE

Le Dr. Isabel est professeure auxiliaire et adjointe à la recherche à la Chaire de recherche du Canada en génomique forestière et environnementale de l’Université Laval. Ses thèmes de recherche sont:

  • Recherche sur la reproduction cellulaire et l’évolution.
  • Mise au point de marqueurs moléculaires de gènes candidats de plusieurs espèces d’arbres (surtout des conifères). Les cartes génétiques détaillées élaborées à l’aide de ces marqueurs seront d’une grande utilité pour les programmes de sélection puisqu’elles facilitent le dépistage des caractéristiques adaptatives et économiques comme la capacité embryogénique en embryogenèse somatique.
  • Mise au point de nouvelles méthodes d’estimation de la diversité génétique de diverses espèces d’arbres et étude du flux génétique entre les espèces d’arbres exotiques et indigènes.
