THÈMES DE RECHERCHE

Mes intérêts portent sur l'écologie du Pic à dos noir. Pour mieux comprendre ses variations de population, je dois maintenant m’attarder, sur les cycles et les modes de vie de ses proies. Je réalise des travaux sur les chronoséquences des populations d’insectes après feu et l’élaboration de scénarios de récupération des brûlis récents, en compagnie de chercheurs spécialisés dans le domaine.

Le Dr. Ibarzabal est aussi chercheur au nouveau Consortium de recherche sur les insectes forestiers (iFor) .
