PRÉSENTATION
I no longer work for the CEF as a research professional (since September 2016). However, I will continue to ameliorate English language manuscripts on a private basis for CEF members.
I can be contacted at my University of Sherbrooke address or the following alternative: wmfjparsons@yahoo.com
Before I came to Sherbrooke, I worked for three years as an attaché de recherche in the forest nutrition group of Alison Munson (Laval University). Before that, I lived and worked in the USA for 16 years, most recently at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (Departments of Soil Science and Entomology) on a global change project, the Aspen-FACE (Free-Air CO2 Enrichment). Prior to UW, I was a fellow of the Smithsonian Institution (SERC, near Annapolis, Maryland), and a post-doc at Rutgers University (Institute of Marine and Coastal Sciences; Department of Ecology, Evolution, and Natural Resources). I have a Ph.D. from the University of Wyoming. I am interested in the effects of ecosystem disturbance on biogeochemical cycles, in restoration ecology, and microbial ecology.
