I’m absolutely passionate about teaching. I believe in transforming people and, consequently, the world through knowledge.
My research interests are focused especially on understanding people's role in making positive environmental changes. I have been researching especially on monitoring areas in forest restoration after the harvest of Pinus sp., an invasive species in Brazil, to understand better ways to restore areas. I also have been developing some projects in Urban Trees, where we are applying and also developing a methodology to classify individuals about their risk, to suggest to the city government some techniques and practices to improve the quality of the urban trees and also to avoid or decrease the risk of some individual trees.
As how visiting professor at CFR & PaqLab , I will contribute to Pollen research, whose overall objective is to develop and implement an extensive pilot intra-urban pollen monitoring network. I am very interested in understanding the potential of pollen allergies from urban trees and how to use this knowledge to better plan Urban trees.
