Résumé

Container-grown Pinus strobus seedlings inoculated with a wild strain of the ectomycorrhizal fungus, Laccaria bicolor, were raised under the same controlled growth conditions for 14 wk after which conditions were varied. Lowering the temperature from 24/18-degrees-C (day/night) to 18/12-degrees inhibited the fruiting of L. bicolor associated with P. strobus. A short photoperiod as well as a low level of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilization stimulated basidiome development. Less fruiting of L. bicolor occurred at 24/18-degrees with the host plants Picea glauca or Pinus taeda. However some basidomes did form at 18/12-degrees with P. glauca and P. taeda contrary to P. strobus.
